Hello everybody!  My name is Debbi.  I recently moved to Maryland, just south of Baltimore.  Prior to that I lived in Virginia.  Read on to learn more about me.
 
I love chatting with people from around the world.  I also like to do counted cross stitch needlework, crochet, read, and listen to music (mostly country).

   I was born on September 19, 1953 (a really GREAT year), in Mount Olive, North Carolina.  When I was a week old, we moved to Arlington, Virginia, where I lived until I was 7.  Then we moved to Falls Church, Virginia, where I lived until I got married the first time (I'm divorced now).

I have two children.  Corbi Jo, my daughter, is 23 and lives in Delaware with her husband, Jim.  They were married on August 23, 1997.  They will make me a grandmother sometime in July 1998.  My son-in-law goes by PhoneDaddy in chat.  Eric Brandon, my son, is 21 and lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Since my ex-husband is retired from the Army, I have lived around the world.  We were stationed in Germany for 8 years, and we were also stationed at Fort Riley (Kansas), Fort McClellan (Alabama), and the Washington, DC, area.  My favorite tours were, naturally, in Germany (Augsburg and Heidelberg); loved every minute there.

I work for the Department of the Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  I get to travel all over the world for my job.  Some places I have been are:  Korea, Japan, Panama, Honduras, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii, and quite a few of the great states of our country.  I was in Panama in February, Germany in April, and Japan and Hawaii in November of last year.  I think my next trip overseas will be to Panama in November and then back there again next February.

As many of you may know, I also love tattoos.  I have three of them....the first one is a beautiful red parrot sitting on a flowering branch on my left breast; the second is my name in cursive writing with a trailing red heart on my right shoulder blade; the third one is two hearts joined together with flowers on the outer edges on my left ankle.  I want to get the face of a kitten surrounded by flowers on my right calf and my handle somewhere.  Hope to get them soon.  Some of my pictures used in chat show my parrot tattoo, which is also shown here.

I have adopted a few chat friends into my family.  They are my cyber-cousins, Vicki (Violet), Kelli (Blue39Eyes), and John (bloodbrother), and my cyber-sisters, Toytyme, raceynurse, Jneal (cyber-twin), and GoGoldie, and my brother, RaejnKjn.  If anyone else feels particularly close to me, just ask nicely and I might let you join our growing family, too.  I have some really special friends in chat also...they are lightduty (my sweetheart) (see his picture below), his identical twin brother #1 IKE and IKE's lovely wife Hellyon, SirAngel, Marc0611, Lacey22, 1sweetsue, Dusty Cowboy, BUCKMAN, curtsmom, CarrieKae, MadamS3, BamaPuddin, helopilot6, wingit2nite, smartha, pappy40, and many, many others.   Sorry if I left anyone out, but I consider everyone in the 40something Lounge and 40something to be a friend.

I really enjoy meeting some of my chat friends real time at bashes.  I've been to four of them so far...DC in October 1996, Florida in February 1997, New Jersey in March 1997, and Western Pennsylvania in July 1997.  I will be attending the New York State/New Jersey Bash in July 1998.  What a great way to meet friends and have some fun in the process!! You guys are the best!

Several people have asked me about my handle, so I figured I would tell in here the background behind it.  Silver Toy is also my CB radio handle.  I've had it since 1983.  I was trying to come up with something clever and just couldn't think of anything, but I was driving a Silver Toyota at the time.  Real original, huh??  *LOL*  But, of course, most folks think it means something else.  *wink*
